I am practicing for Seattle Art Battle with Cherry Headed Conures now, not bunkers, because my Mom pointed out, “They look like trailor houses.”
So, now I’m painting the parrot that used to attacked my head when I was three.
Here is a painting I couldn’t really complete, but left it fuzzy. I tried to be specific three or four sessions, but wasn’t able to convey the complexity without looking cartoony, so decided to leave it... impressionistic.
Here’s my most recently curated wall at Arts of Snohomish.
My daughters noticed I have a hole, so I'm painting a 5x7 parrot in oil today.
And there it is now to the left of the nest.
