It was pretty much the most glorious experience on the planet. I only did two weekends this year, because I’m competing in Triathlon Nationals, but next year, I might have it in me to do all five weekends. I learned that people are there because they love to be free. Free to have a body. Free to be alive.
I learned to be myself and be basically in heaven on display painting and give trinkets as much as possible. It was really healing to basically learn that most people there are a gift.
My tent was made by my parents and my sister and aunt had a hand in my show too.
When I was taking down my tent, I had to pause because I loved it so much. I had made a world in 10’x10’ with eight years of painting. Everything was heavily planned and totally hard, and I did it.
