How to get the Funk Out

public.jpeg

How to snap out of a funk.

If you’re sad or sick or something is keeping you from productivity, paint in public.

It forces you to step it up and not stop. This reminds me of running in public.

Anyway, I finished this one today. It’s two pictures I put together. It was a collaborative commission, but I think I’ll put it for sale at my gallery because the people I painted it for like a different kind of horse pose. They like a plain white horse with a bent neck making their place look modern or feminine, not necessarily their actual horses.

I’m kind of a realist. I like reality. My husband vetoed my desire to paint garbage yesterday. Should I do it anyway?

This painting is unique and risky because it’s two horses apart and the center of the picture is something insignificant. I want to see another artist tackle that challenge.
