I used a lot of Prussian Blue and Paynes Grey. I could not get the hooves looking right. With the help of my talented teacher’s experienced eye, it turned out that the pastern was too long initially.
This is my horse, Blue Serenade. She was a mile race horse in Tennessee, then a hunter, and now a jumper.
