I chose my name, Artistry for the Brave, to remind myself to be brave. Painting in public makes me better because I’m performing and held accountable to focus, make good choices, and produce good work.
Hopefully I can get this painting good enough to submit it to the 40th Annual Arts of the Terrace Juried Art Show. The show will be held September 22 - October 7 at the Mountlake Terrace Library.
I think the key this time will be painting in layers, letting them dry, and adding oil not only in the paint, but a layer of oil on top of each layer.
