I’m working on my Great Grandpa Frank Yantis and my Great Aunt Bummy’s Mom, Stella. I framed them yesterday and will touch them up today. Should I drive it to them? It’s easier to mail it, but I do have a big heart that will push me there.

I completed my first ever acrylic on paper painting of my friend, Judy. Her likeness is in her Science classroom. Her head is from a haircut picture and her body is from habitat restoration aka pulling evil blackberries. I painted it upside down, my favorite trick in the book.

I’m working on my friend, Minta’s Landlords’ horses. I hope to make it super high quality so it looks great in their new home overlooking the Puget Sound.

Finally, here’s my current wall at Arts of Snohomish. My colleague, Joan, says it has passion.

Update: I had to redo them a bit because I learned that they don’t like green. Yay for me being flexible. It did kinda put me into a funk, though. I didn’t paint for a week after having to redo them. It’s hard for me to paint these things and I’m realistic about people’s reactions to seeing a painting of a well-known person.
