Drying Away!

Here are my drying paintings that I’ll frame on Tuesday and bring to Emerald Downs Art Show on Wednesday or Thursday.

The top of the tryptic is flat and the underwater portion I put three layers of translucent green oil. I used a leaf blower to make it smooth!    Here is a trippy angle where the glossy half is more visible:

My favorite part is his leg because it expresses the unknown, unique and complicated reality of mudcaked socks (practically) and legs seemingly strapped on the horse.
